Getting Started
| RESPOND has a simple tutorial that
takes just a few minutes to read. Click “File | Instructions” for this
screen. |

►
RESPOND Wizard
| The RESPOND Wizard takes you
step-by-step through the RFP response process. |

►
RFP Details
|
Click the Details
button on the “Open RFP” window and other screens to see who sent the
RFP originally, their contact information, etc. The lower panel indicates
who in your company forwarded the RFP to you and when it was completed.
|

►
Enter Responses in
Browse Mode
| You
can enter RFP responses
in the "Edit" and “Browse” modes
—
like a spreadsheet. Click
yellow tabs at bottom to access General Questions, Functional Requirements
and Cost Proposal sections. The Background tab provides RFP due dates,
contacts, volumes, etc. |

►
Viewing
Selected Responses
|
The Filter button
allows you to selectively view responses (e.g. “Yes” and “Modification”)
or “Unanswered Items” so you can focus on questions needing responses, for
example. |

►
Creating
a Word Document
|
You can generate a
Word doc instead of printing hard copy with the Doc button. Use
Windows Explorer and open the C:\OLCSOFT6\RESPOND6\MY_REPORTS folder to
find your documents. You can e-mail reports to managers for review. Take
advantage of the many print options (e.g., Unanswered Items, Comments,
etc.) offered by RESPOND. |

►
E-mailing RFPs
 |
The E-mail RFP screen automatically sends
e-mails with attached RFP files through Outlook (see screen shot below).
Enter your co-worker e-mail addresses in the “E-mail addresses”
table shown at left – then click one to send the RFP to. The addresses are
automatically saved.
◄ E-mail
Addresses Table |
You must use
the RESPOND e-mail tool to send your RFP to co-workers or back to the
sending organization. The e-mail function packages your most current RFP responses into
a special .RFP file container
–
like a FedEx
envelope.
